Welcome to our Community Classes! Check out the video below to “meet” us and learn a little about our approach. We look forward to working with you!

Our classes are open to all who are looking to enhance their lives, broaden their social opportunities, and feel more connected and balanced. Classes begin with 1 on 1 personalized learning with a goal to expand to group classes to foster additional connection with peers struggling with similar challenges.

We approach education differently, understanding that no one person learns the same way.

We work with people from a range of backgrounds and differing challenges, but have a specific focus on those on the autism spectrum and those with mental health struggles.

Our coursework will teach a variety of life skills and social skills with the help of the human-animal connection. In a world full of information overload, education through online curriculum requires creative ways to teach. As such, we have enlisted the help of pets to be part of our learning.

 Objectives:

-Learn about whole-person health

-Understand the role pets play in people’s lives

-Enhance social skills and connection with others

-Learning how to engage with your community at your own pace

-Learn about ways to volunteer in your community

-Experience how helping others can help you

-Develop job skills

-Learn about compassion, kindness, and empathy

-Understand different types of “working animals” and the roles they play for people with disabilities

-Understanding the role nutrition can play in your physical and mental health

-Help to discover or re-discover your passions

-Learn about many ways to reduce stress and anxiety that can complement your existing approaches

Cost:

  • Our classes are designed to be more non-traditional, meaning that our work together and communications aren’t limited to just class time. Over the years we’ve learned that many people want and need additional support throughout the week and outside of class. As such, we’ve developed our comprehensive courses that include the following:

    1. 1 hour of virtual classes per week (some participants will chose to meet twice a week)

    2. Phone calls/text check-ins as needed between classes. This allows us to support participants on things that may come up throughout the week or check in regarding goals that we set during class

    3. Personalized learning packages

    4. Family support including family sessions and time with parents/caregivers.

    5. Communication with other team members as needed, including: therapist, job coaches, other class providers, potential employers, school personnel.

    6. The cost for each class: $215

  • If you would like to explore other class options, outside of the comprehensive courses, please contact us and we will work to find a plan that works for you.
